Ambani's death a great loss to India: Bhujbal

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal on Sunday said Dhirubhai Ambani's death was a great loss to the nation.

"We have lost a very big visionary and it is a great loss to India. Dhirubhai had given direction to many upcoming industrialists by making an empire out of a mere zero," Bhujbal told mediapersons.

"Dhirubhai has helped millions of investors whose prayers are with him," Bhujbal added.

Among the early mourners at the hospital was media mogul and Zee Telefilms chief Subhash Chandra Goyal, who said: "Ambani was a legend and Indian industry has suffered a great loss due to his demise."

Others who came to the hospital soon after the announcement of his death were superstar Shah Rukh Khan with wife Gauri, actor Chunkey Pandey and director Aashutosh Gowariker.

The patriarch's body was taken to Sea Wind, the Ambani residence in South Mumbai, where relatives and industry captains have started coming in to pay their tributes.
