Ketan Seth granted bail

A Mumbai court on Monday granted bail to Ketan Seth, promoter of Giltage Securities embroiled in the Rs 50 million Raghuvanshi Co-operative Bank's government securities scam.

Seth was granted bail after he furnished a surety of Rs 100,000.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate B A Shelar also directed the accused to cooperate with the investigating agencies whenever required.

Seth was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation on May 14 for his alleged involvement in the Rs 930 million Seamens' Provident Fund Office Government Securities purchase scam.

Last month the Economic Offence Wing obtained Seth's custody from the CBI for interrogation in the gilt scam in the Raghuvanshi Cooperative Bank.
