Crime branch interrogates Ketan Parekh

Ketan ParekhStockbroker Ketan Parekh was on Wednesday interrogated by the Mumbai crime branch sleuths at the CID office located at the police commissionerate at Crawford Market in Mumbai.

"He was called for investigations,'' Police Commissioner M N Singh informed.

Parekh's interrogation continued for more than two hours. However, crime branch investigators declined to provide any details, saying that there were many cases against him, investigations of which were still in progress.

Parekh, who is allegedly involved in many cases, including siphoning off funds from a public sector bank to use it in the capital market and rigging of share prices during March-April 2001, was also called at the crime branch on Tuesday, police sources said.
