Excise Duty

  • Cigars, cheroots and cigarillos of tobacco or tobacco substitutes which have been exempt so far shall attract 16% CENVAT.
  • While past Budgets have invariably seen excise duty on cigarettes being hiked, this time round, excise duty has remained unaltered.
