S B Mathur appointed LIC chairman

S B Mathur was on Wednesday appointed chairman of Life Insurance Corporation, filling up the place left vacant by G N Bajpai.

Mathur is presently the executive director of LIC. R N Bharadwaj and K K Vasist were appointed executive directors of the corporation, official sources said.

Bajpai was appointed chairman of Securities and Exchanges Board of India in May this year.
