Banks to strike work on Aug 29Leading bank officers' organisations decided to observe one-day token strike on August 29 in support of their demands, including removal of tax on allowances and perquisites. A decision to this effect was taken in Mumbai on Friday at a joint meeting of four organisations, All India Bank Officers' Confederation, All India Bank Officers' Association, Indian National Bank Officers' Congress and National Organisation of Bank Officers.
