Infosys to talk 'after sexual harassment case is over'Infosys Technologies Chairman and Chief Mentor N R Narayana Murthy on Friday said his company would disclose all relevant details about a sexual harassment case involving its former director Phaneesh Murthy and the company once the trial is successfully over. "Our priority is the successful closure of the case in the United States," Murthy said while talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the Ram Munjal Lecture delivered by him in New Delhi. While Murthy did not have any objection to queries relating to the subject, host of the lecture series and Hero Honda Motors Limited Chairman Brij Mohan Lall said mediapersons should confine their questions to the topic of the lecture. Lall did not budge even when it was pointed out that the topic of the lecture 'Creating an ethical organisation' was related to the case, and took Murthy aside. Phaneesh Murthy resigned as the US-based head of sales and marketing and communication and product services last month following a case filed by a former employee against him and the software major for alleged sexual harassment and wrongful termination of service. Basab Pradhan recently replaced Phaneesh Murthy. Meanwhile, Narayana Murthy did not spare his own tribe when it comes to laying the blame for the present shortcomings of the society. "The ills that our society is suffering from was caused by the less than acceptable ethical behaviour of the corporate world," he said, while delivering the first Raman Munjal Memorial Lecture. Though the eminent it entrepreneur also attributed the shortcomings in the country to unethical practices by politicians and bureaucrats, Murthy laid emphasis on the behaviour of the corporate leaders since he belonged to the industrial world. But he clarified that his organisation always disclosed all details, whether it meant losing General Electric as a customer or losses on transactions in the secondary capital market. UNI ALSO READ:
