Reliance offers help for quake relief operations

Reliance Industries Limited has offered all the resources at its disposal to help the Gujarat government, the army and the air force in the rescue and relief operations for the earthquake-affected areas of the state.

The company has decided to pull out all stops to assist the victims of the disaster that caused large-scale destruction in many parts of the state, particularly in Kutch region.

The executive officer of RIL, Parimal Nathwani, said that equipment, medicines and tents have been sent to Bhuj and a large force of skilled personnel was helping in the rescue operations.

The company has offered to contribute medical services, equipment, vehicles, machinery and provide medicines, food and other emergency supplies to alleviate the suffering of the people hit by the calamity.

Reliance teams are already in the field to co-ordinate their operations with appropriate civil and military authorities.
