I-flex sets up Flexcube learning centre

I-flex Solutions Ltd, the leading provider of packaged applications to global financial institutions, has opened its Flexcube centre of learning here for providing its customers and partners access to a comprehensive curricula and intensive training programmes in both banking operations and technology platforms.

The centre will offer courses on various banking operations such as retail banking, risk management, trade finance, securities processing, and technology platforms such as Windows 2000, Unix, and Oracle.

Inaugurating the centre, Citibank chairman Victor Menezes said training on the functional and technical aspects of Flexcube, its flagship product, as a universal banking system would also be imparted.

"I-flex has set up the centre to create an institution that will help train industry personnel towards harnessing technology in a changing financial industry," he added.

According to I-flex chairman Rajesh Hukku, the centre is relevant in the context of Flexcube being the choice of over 80 financial institutions across 36 countries within three years of its launch.

"There is a growing demand from our customers and partners to build skills on Flexcube on a continuous basis. The centre is a pro-active step of ours to support customers and partners," Hukku stated.

The centre will leverage the expertise of I-flex's rich talent pool of former bankers and software experts. It will also draw on the expertise of world leading organisations and personnel to speak on subjects of relevance to the financial services industry.
