Our Correspondent in Bombay

Special Judge A R Joshi on Thursday remanded leading stock broker Ketan Parekh, his relative, Kartik Parekh, and the manager of Madhavpura bank's Mandvi branch J B Pandya to judicial custody till April 18.

The judge, however, granted bail to Ramesh Parikh, chairman of Madhavpura Mercantile Co-operative Bank, on medical grounds, informed Hemant Nagrale, CBI superintendent of police.

The court had earlier extended CBI custody Ketan and Kartik Parekh, Ramesh Parikh and J B Pandya for allegedly defrauding Bank of India of Rs 1.37 billion in a pay-order scam.
