 Swedish Match AB receives nod to raise stake in Wimco
 The Board of Directors of Wimco Ltd, at its meeting held today, has resolved that the Board has no objection to the proposal of Swedish Match AB (SMAB) to enhance its current equity participation from 52.11 per cent to 74 per cent. The shares can be bought by SMAB by purchase of shares through its subsidiaries, preferably from the other existing promoters of the company. The said equity stake enhancement is subject to all other statutory approvals.

 BASF India to consider Interim Dividend
 The Board of Directors of BASF India Ltd will meet on March 28, 2000 to consider the payment of interim dividend on equity shares for the year financial ending 1999-2000.

 Monsanto to mull acquisitions, to raise funds by preferential issue
 The Board of Directors of Monsanto Chemicals of India Ltd will meet on March 15, 2000 to consider a proposal for acquisition and integration of related businesses/assets/companies. The Board will also determine the appropriate method of funding the same including by way of preferential issue of equity shares. The issued shall be priced in accordance with the SEBI guidelines relating to preferential issues.

 Sadhna Nitro Chem declares 25% Interim Dividend
 The Board of Directors of Sadhna Nitro Chem, at its meeting held today, has declared an interim dividend of Rs 2.50/- per share for the financial year ending March 31, 2000.

 VMF Soft Tech to mull preferential issue, ESOP, acquisitions
 The Board of Directors of VMF Soft Tech Ltd will meet on March 29, 2000 to consider and take on record the unaudited financial results for the second quarter ended February 29, 2000. In addition to the above the Board will also consider the following:
  1. Allotment of equity shares as consideration for acquisition of Sirisoft Inc., USA and to consider preferential allotment of shares on private placement basis.
  2. Acquisition of software companies in India/USA
  3. Employee Stock Option Scheme
  4. Sale of farm lands

 Apar Industries Ltd to consider Interim Dividend
 The Board of Directors of Apar Industries Ltd will meet on March 24, 2000 to consider declaration of Interim Dividend for the financial year 1999-2000 on equity shares and preference shares.

 Crest Communications to consider preferential issue
 Crest Communications Ltd has proposed to issue and allot up to 559,000 equity shares of Rs 10/- each on a preferential basis. The price at which the shares shall be issued will be determined in accordance with the SEBI guidelines. At the EGM of the company held on March 13, 2000, the members present had unanimously authorised the Board of Directors to issue and allot in on or more lots up to 559, 000 equity shares on preferential basis to NRIs, OCBs, FIIs, Indian MFs, and strategic partners.

 Exide Industries declares 32% Interim Dividend
 The Board of Directors of Exide Industries Ltd, at its meeting held today, declared an interim dividend of 32 per cent. The record date for the interim dividend has been decided as May 10, 2000.

 Sona Steering to consider interim dividend on preference shares
 The Board of Directors of Sona Koyo Steering Systems Ltd will meet on March 30, 2000 to consider besides other things, the following :
  1. Payment of interim dividend on 1,000,000 preference shares of Rs 100/- each, on pro-rata basis, for the period from October 8, 1999 to March 31, 2000.
  2. Payment of interim dividend on 8,793,400 equity shares of Rs 10/- each for the year ending March 31, 2000.
The board will also consider the record date for the entitlements of the interim dividends.

 Thirumalai Chemicals to consider second Interim Dividend
 The Board meeting of Thirumalai Chemicals Ltd is scheduled on March 27, 2000 to consider a proposal to declare second interim dividend for the year 1999-2000. The company had earlier declared and paid an interim dividend of Rs 2/- per share in September 1999.

 Ultramarine Pigments Interim Dividend at 60%
 The Board of Directors of Ultramarine Pigments at its meeting held today (14/03/2000), has decided interim dividend of 60% for the year 1999-2000. The said interim dividend includes a millenium dividend of 10%. The record date for the interim dividend is April 13, 2000.

 Agro Dutch Foods to make preferential allotment at Rs 150/- per share
 The Board of Directors of Agro Dutch Foods Ltd will meet on March 18, 2000 to consider and allot 1,000,000 equity shares at a price of Rs 150/- per share. It is proposed to allot the shares to M/s Kanan Foods Inc., an Overseas Corporate Body. The allotment is on repatriable basis.

 Hindustan Inks to consider Interim Dividend
 The Board of Directors of Hindustan Inks & Resins Ltd will meet on March 22, 2000 to consider and recommended payment of interim dividend. At the meeting the Board will also decide the record date for the distribution of the interim dividend.

 Bajaj Auto declares 100% Interim Dividend
 The Board of Directors of Bajaj Auto Ltd at its meeting held today (14/03/2000), has declared an interim dividend of 100 % i.e. Rs 10/- per share for the financial year 1999-2000. The Board has fixed April 13, 2000 as the record date for the said interim dividend.

 GKN Invel FY 99 Net Profit up by 2372%
 GKN Invel Transmission Ltd has announced a net profit of Rs 44.43 million for the year ended December 31, 1999 as compared to Rs 1.797 million for FY 98. The company has registered a 25.43 % increase in sales, at Rs 1269.33 million, as compared to Rs 1011.92 million for FY 98. Other Income is Rs 7.191 million (FY 98 Rs 9.425million). The gross profit is 74 % up at Rs 130.433 million as compared to Rs 74.908 million in FY 98.

 Olympia Industries March quarter results on 3rd April
 The Board of Directors of Olympia Industries Ltd will meet on April 3, 2000 to approve the unaudited financial results for the quarter ended march 31, 2000.

 Cipla to consider Interim Dividend
 The Board meeting of Cipla Ltd is scheduled on march 22, 2000 to consider besides other things the issue of interim dividend for the financial year 1999-2000.

 Gujarat Gas Board reshuffle
 Gujarat Gas Company Ltd has appointed Mr Douglas Alan Reid as the Director of the company w.e.f March 1, 2000 in the casual vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr Edward Walshe. Mr Agnus Charles De Symons Mccallum has been appointed as Director w.e.f March 1, 2000 in casual vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr Paul Fredrick Whittaker.

 ICICI Ltd to consider Interim Dividend
 The Board of Directors of ICICI Ltd will meet on March 17, 2000 to consider the matter of payment of interim dividend.

The Board had earlier recommended an interim dividend at Rs 20/- per share on February 25, 2000, the record date for which has been kept at April 10, 2000.

 Digital Domain-USA (Hollywood) to Partner with PentaMedia Graphics
 PentaMedia Graphics Ltd (PMGL) has announced a Joint Venture with Digital Domain Inc, USA (DDI). The JV has been formed to develop feature length motion films for world market. DDI is one of the largest full-service digital production studios in Los Angeles and has been involved with renowned films like Titanic, True Lies, Fifth Element etc. their animation effects. PMGL and DDI have signed a MoU for an ongoing strategic partnership deal for content creation. The deal was signed on March 10, 2000. Apart from creation of services of the entertainment users the deal will concentrate on the creation of special effects through graphics.
