What do I need to access Rediff Palm?

  • A Palm OS handheld device such as a Palm III series,
    Palm V or Handspring Visor.
  • Palm Desktop.
    If you do not currently have this software installed on your computer, you can download it from www.palm.com
  • Operating System: Windows 95, 98 or 2000.

How do I install Rediff Palm?

Download Rediff Palm
(Rediff_Mobile.exe - 655 Kb)

Note: On installing on your Palm,
the Rediff Mobile Application will
occupy approx. 351 kb of space.


Rediff Mobile for Palm OS: DISCLAIMER

Follow these steps to get started:
  • Download the 'Rediff_Mobile.exe' to your desktop.

  • Double click on the 'Rediff_Mobile.exe' to install the Rediff Mobile Application to your computer.

  • After the Application is installed on your computer, HotSync your Palm. This will install the Rediff Mobile Application on your Palm.

  • HotSync once again to access Rediff.com from your Palm.

  • Information will get updated every time you HotSync.

  • Click on the Rediff Mobile icon to access Rediff.com.

    Please Note: The speed of the synchronization process depends on your internet connection.

    On a 56 kbps modem, the synchronization process
    takes around 5 to 7 minutes.

How do I uninstall Rediff Palm?

To uninstall the Application from your Palm, you need to
  • Uninstall the application from your Computer
  • Delete the application from your Palm
1) Uninstall the application from your Computer

During installation, the Uninstaller is saved, by default, to C:\Program Files\Rediff Mobile\Uninstall Rediff Mobile.exe.

Alternatively, if during installation, you saved the Application to a different path, please locate the Rediff Mobile directory.

To uninstall the Application, double click on the
Uninstall Rediff Mobile.exe file.

2) Delete the application from your Palm

  • Click on the icon
  • From the top Menubar, click on the 'Delete' option
  • Individually delete the following files:
    - jBrowserCache
    - jBrowserHelpDB
    - jBrowserSettings
    - Rediff Address Book
    - Rediff.com
    - Rediffmail
  • Click on 'Done'
