In an attempt to create a painting record Manan Chaturvedi, a painter and social worker from Jaipur, painted for 72 hours at a stretch.

An accomplished artist in hand painting, Chaturvedi decided to paint for 72 hours as it coincided with the number of girls in an orphanage, which she runs. Most of the paintings made by Chaturvedi depict picturesque sceneries and young children surrounded by lush backdrop of nature.

For Chaturvedi, most of these paintings give out a message of hope and peace. So, far Chaturvedi has painted about 115 canvases using her bare hands and hopes to reach a target of about 150 paintings.
