Pradeep Kumar sends this photograph that was taken during his visit to Chandertal, Himachal Pradesh in July 2008.

Chandertal is about 6 km from the Kunzum Pass. The route is generally open from April to September only.

"The best time to visit is on a full-moon night as you can see the reflection of the moon in the crystal-clear waters," he adds.

Mt Kanchenjunga, Sikkim

This was taken last December, when three friends and I visited Sikkim," says Aneesh. "We travelled the length and breadth of Sikkim. This image happens to be the same one that appears on the reverse of a Rs 100 note."

Maithon Dam, Jharkhand

I visited the dam in January earlier this year, " says Manosij Mukherjee. "It's a beautiful place and ideal for picnics and a short outing with the family.

The Maithon Dam is located 48 km from Dhanbad, Jharkhand.

Tapola, Mahabaleshwar

Deepak Kundnani shares this photograph of a view of Tapola, a hill station 25 km away from Mahabaleshwar in Maharashtra.

"It is also called Mini Kashmir in that area," he adds, "and is worth a visit."
