Popular television actor, Manav Gohil shares with us some of the images he's shot during the various trips around India and the world.

You may know him as the actor from popular 'K serials'. But there is more to Manav Gohil than just acting in television shows. The actor loves to travel and take pictures.

He shares with us some of the images he's taken during his trips with wife Shweta Kawatra across India and the world and tells us about each of them:

Hey! Who's that guy?

This was taken when Shweta and I were on a cruise liner. I woke up early one morning and was walking around when my reflection in the dressing table's mirror suddenly caught my attention. Without thinking a second time I just clicked.

Pittsburgh at night

The city was freezing in the evening but one of my friends insisted on us seeing the birds-eye view of the city. So we headed to a very posh residential locality, reached the top and saw this!

As the climate was chilly, my hands become numb. I rested the camera over a flat surface, supported it with my hand briefly and quickly shot this stunning view.

The eternal journey

I was travelling towards Gir forest when my train stopped at a signal giving me a chance to click this photo.

So I got off the train, lay down on the tracks, which was just next to my train and was looking around for some good photographs.

Just then I heard my train's horn and saw another one approaching from a distance. This one was perfecto!

The picture-friendly Rome

The day was just coming to an end. We were in Rome and Shweta was busy shopping while I decided to step out and take a few pictures.

On my way I captured as may scenic as possible but this one was the most amazing. I couldn't resist capturing this image as it had the perfect blend of colours, light the blue light fading away and the golden carving on the monument making itself more visible   and prominent basically giving a signal to trespassers it's time to have fun!

Wisdom in wrinkles

I had been to Rishikesh when we spotted this lady by the roadside washing utensils.

She said she earned her living that way for many years. I was quite fascinated with the wrinkles and the expressions on her face.

Break toh banta hain

It was afternoon and I was at home when I decided to explore life on Mumbai's streets.

I spotted this old man was talking about his wife, son and how he had a bad start to the day. Actually he wasn't talking as much as he was complaining and simultaneously rubbing tobacco on the palm of his hand.

This was indeed an interesting site, with natural expressions!

Fanning the flames

This was again in Gir forest. Early one morning we were waiting to get permission to enter the forest area. This was the only one tea stall at that place and I was quite fascinated with the contraption he was using to make fire. He kept turning the handle to increase the flame and boil the tea.

While my friends were getting the permission sorted, I asked him to make us some tea and without him realising tried to get some pictures of the fellow.

Of course he did realise later I was taking his photos so that's why he looks so suspiciously. Obviously he didn't mind!

Village traffic

Yet agaim, my Gir trip! It was a sunny afternoon. As I belong to Saurashtra, these people who are called Bharwas aren't very strange, but this image caught my attention.

Sloshed in France

This was somewhere close to Paris. I was with a few friends when I saw this old man totally sloshed. There was a unique character to him. As he saw me clicking him, he forcefully asked me to go away but I was quite intrigued by the man and the place where he was standing offered perfect light and a good backdrop. So quickly I shot this photo and ran away

Starry reflections

Shweta and I were in Canada when it was peak winter. It was early morning when I saw sunrays falling on the glass door (this isn't a mirror) I figured that the rays were reflecting on the glass and so were the trees outside. I asked Shweta to stand besides the door and we got this image!
