Best pics 2010: Sunrise on an island paradise
Here are readers' best photographs from the past year!
We invited readers to share their unique, original photographs from this past year with us -- here's the next set of responses!
First up we have three images from Rajesh S. This one, he tells us, is taken at sunrise at Havelock Islands in Andaman and Nicobar.

With 2010 having drawn to a close, we're inviting you to send in your best photograph of last year. We'll be posting a few every day and readers will get to vote for each one. The 20 that land the maximum number of votes will then be compiled into a 'best of' list that will be published at the end of this month.

Next we have this one, also from Rajesh, of the Big Ben in London, with the statue of Churchill in the foreground.

Hosing away the competition!
Here is one Rajesh shot in Namibia. He explains, "This was taken at the water hole in Etosha National Park. This desert elephant was not so happy to share the water with a visitor -- a black rhino. It tried to scare him off by splashing water on him, but the rhino was not impressed."

Ranabir Roy sent in this one, which he took in Kannur, Kerala last month on a trip with his friends.

A walk through the mist
And finally, we have this one from Dr Prakash Lalpotu of Basmathnagar, Maharashtra, who explains, "There has been a tremendous fall in temperatures across the country in the last fortnight. Places are getting hidden in fog and the same is the case with my town, Basmathnagar."
