Next we have this snapshot from Pradeepkumar Kalyanasundaram, who explains, "This was shot at ECR (East Coast Road) in Chennai one weekend in May. Summer is a good time for photographers too, because photography is all about light -- we get enough of it during this season!"

Manish Bajoria contributed this next image, explaining, "This is a picture of Ross Island, part of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands -- it is surrounded by crystal-clear waters."

This unusual red bloom was captured by Piyush Kumar in the hillstation of Yercaud in Tamil Nadu.

And finally, Matthew Selvaraj contributed this photograph, stating, "The Indian Railways run thousands of summer special trains so people can make the most of their seasonal vacation by visiting dear ones and holidaying across the country. I had only a few seconds to click this image (from my train) of a fast train against a lovely rising sun on a summer morning at 6.35 am in Andhra Pradesh.
