We invited you to share with us memorable pictures of you and your mother. Suhail sent us this photo of his mother Shaheen taken way back in 1983.

This photograph is of my mother my daughter and me (I am the one in the centre) -- three generations during last Karva Chauth celebrations.

My mother is a very qualified lady but just for our upbringing she sacrificed her career.

She did everything for us, right from taking care of our requirements up to helping us in our careers too.

Whatever I am today, is just because of my parents but especially my mother.

I am an advocate and she was the one who inspired me for this profession. She also took care of my children so I can pursue my studies even after my marriage and become an advocate.

Today, my daughter is a teacher and my mother at the age of 71 is still our guide and our mentor.

She gave us life, a good path to live, guidelines to help others and made us what we are. I don't have words to thank her for this life of ours and wish that in every successive life, she should be my mother.

'Amma' as I call her, was my greatest teacher -- a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness.

My mother has always been one of my biggest supporters and the wisdom she has given me over the years has helped shaped the person I am today. 
 
This picture was taken when my mom was visiting me in the US. I couldn't visit India during that time when I had just started my job here.

She immediately got her visa and booked her tickets to see me. She was here with me for a month and that was the shortest month in my life.

If love is sweet as a flower, then my mother is that sweet flower of love.

Mother's love is a speechless explanation -- be it her own child or her child's kid, her love is colossal and ever increasing for them.
