Jab We Met: 'We decided to stay good friends'

Last updated on: April 7, 2013 09:38 IST

We'd invited you, our readers to share your love stories. Reader Sunny writes about his love story.

This is about two years ago. Vipasha and I were working in a insurance company in Delhi. I'm senior to her by about ten years in job.

Still, I remember the day she joined the office, we met very formally and did not notice each other. Even after two years of having worked together, we hadn't known each other very well. We talked on few occasions and only for official purposes.

One day on Facebook I noticed her when she was online and casually texted her: "Hi!"

She replied: "Gud evning sir."

Since then we started chatting regularly on FB. Once, knowing that she loved music I sent her a romantic old song without any wrong intention but she misunderstood that mail, reacted very horribly, said bitter things and tried to ignore my 'hellos' from that day.

Repeatedly I called her apologised several times but she wouldn't listen even a single word. After a quarrel, she understood and started chatting again. After few days we become addicted to each other and could not live without talking to each other.

Then one day she asked to meet outside. It was the first time she did this. I felt out of the world. She said her family was pressurising her to get married.

I was shocked but I asked her to go ahead. One day she messaged on FB that she was going on her first date with the boy and that she was very happy.

I felt very low not because I was jealous but I was just missing her badly.

She invited me also but I did not go because I could not hold my heart by seeing she is going to become wife of somebody else.

We met in the office after her marriage and decided to stay good friends forever and to this day are enjoying each other's company. I also hope if we can spend our life together.

I said "I" instead of "We" because till today she hasn't said she loves me back though I have told her that several times. And all she says is "Hmmmmm!"

I wish for her a prosperous life always.
