Bombay Dyeing, the century-old clothing company has come a long way from the chocolate boy Karan Kapoor-days.
The most recent one features a young girl shopping for bed and bath linen for her dad even as he is checking out a woman in the store.
We discover that the father has been recently divorced and that the young lady isn't exactly oblivious to his distractions.
So what does she do? Does she flip it? Does she throw a fit? Watch!
Now, this one may not be as powerful as the Tanishq advertisement featuring the single mother but it is still cute we think. Don't you too?
Raymond has been consistently nailing the whole ads-with-dads thing for decades now.
Their trademark tune -- the classical piano piece Traumerei by the German composer Robert Schumann -- hasn't changed in all this time and lends itself wonderfully even to this scene in which the father realises that his little girl has all grown up!
Every father who's walked his daughter down the aisle will totally get this.
Few things are more important to a son than an approving nod from his father.
So here you have, yet another Raymond's advert in which the father (played here by Rajat Kapoor) watches his son walk shoulder-to-shoulder with him in a, yep, immaculately tailored Raymond's suit. :-)
Remember that time when your dad decided to talk about birds and bees with you?
Trust us when we tell you it's awkward times for the father!
So you can only imagine why this dad is happy that his son leaves him speechless when he tries to talk to him about girls, can't you? :-)
This McDonald's advertisement reminds young fathers that kids aren't really as materialistic as we might believe.
The expression on the father's face is priceless.
If this one doesn't move you, we really don't know what will.
Watch and vote! :-)
Oreo's latest ad featuring a young father and his little one is so cute you quite simply have to watch it!
The jewellery store ad may not have a single piece of jewellery in its promotional video.
It does however feature Amitabh Bachchan and Manju Warrier.
Bachchan plays an estranged father to Warrier in this Kalyan Jewellers advertisement that emphasises on the value of trust rather than showcasing the various designs.
Okay so the jingle may not be as evocative as the famous Maruti one, but the Chevy Beat commercial has its heart in the right place as it showcases the unspoken bond between a father and son.
A son who does not want to take over his father's business and a father who insists that a job is a terrible, terrible idea!
So how does the Senior react when the young lad lands his dream job?
Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar tells us just that in this Uninor ad.
Watch. And vote!
Union Bank of India
Tables are turned in this one where the son doesn't want to be caught in a 9-to-5 routine like his father.
Pankaj Kapur makes a rare appearance as a wise middle-class father for Union Bank of India and shines, as he always does, in this minute-long commercial.
We wind up the list with this ad by ICICI Lombard that features what the audience presumes is a father supporting his daughter fulfill her dreams.
It isn't until the very end that we realise that her isn't her father after all.
Not exactly your typical dad ad but we suppose it does make the cut to be on this list.
Wouldn't you agree too?
