At midnight, hundreds had gathered to pray and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ in Secunderabad. Prasad NP chronicled some moments through his camera.

Easter, which follows two days after Good Friday celebrates hope and salvation.

Hundreds of people attended the midnight mass to celebrate Easter at St Mary's Basilica, the oldest Roman Catholic church in the city of Secunderabad.

Prasad NP attended the midnight mass and shared the experience through these images.

People attended the mass irrespective of religion.

People from all faiths attended the mass and lighted candles to celebrate Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

People sang hymns from the Holy Bible and greeted each other with message of peace and love.

Nuns pray at the midnight mass.

It was a beautiful and divine setting when the lights were switched off and hundreds of people lit their candles, and sang together to welcome Jesus Christ.

A small play was also enacted on stage to recreate the events from Holy Bible depicting the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The mass by attended by people from across the country.

Not only natives of twin cities of Hyderabad but a lot of foreigners, and also people from across India also attended the mass, truly representing the multicultural heritage of the twin cities of Hyderabad.

If you are travelling to twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad any time St Mary's Basilica should be on  your must visit list besides the usual attractions of Hyderabad like Charminar and Golconda fort.
