Aashish Belwalkar shot this photograph in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh.

"I wanted to symbolically capture the man on the turn, against the vast expanse of the solitary alley. The B&W composition lends it the melancholic feel that I was seeking," he says.

Satyajit Chatterjee's shot of a cold winter morning.

"I saw this old couple trying to beat the chill by burning a small heap of garbage. They were not talking to each other though the profundity was evident in the scene. It made me think that the warmth of togetherness stays even beyond the time even when there is nothing to say," he says.
