Superdrug Britain's second-largest beauty and health retailer, commissioned a study to look for 2011's beauty icons. The result was this fascinating list of stunning women.

20. Scarlett Johansson

The sexy Iron Man 2 actress may have courted controversy with her nude pictures that surfaced recently but that obviously hasn't stopped men (and women) from lusting after Scarlett Johansson!

Also making an appearance on the list was reality TV star and presenter Amy Childs.

"While the majority of ladies in the list are natural beauties, we also see the TOWIE effect with Amy Childs appearing on the list for the first time with her Essex tan, hair extensions, and false nails," Sara Wolverson, Director of Beauty at Superdrug was quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.

The maverick singer and performer finished 12th in the list of beauty icons for her outrageous sense of style that has become a huge hit making Lady Gaga also one of the most sought-after pop stars in the business today.
11. Kelly Rowland

Destiny's Child founder member and singer-actress Kelly Rowland was voted at number 11 in the list of the top 20 beauty icons of 2011.

It's sort of hard to imagine a list of beauty icons without Victoria Beckham, isn't it?

The former Spice Girl who also recently appeared on the list of the most stylish celebrities for women over 50, Victoria Beckham was 10th in this list.

The sexy singer-songwriter and actress Katy Perry who's recently split from her husband Russell Brand made it to the list too. She was 'cited for her quirky style', the Daily Mail reports.

If there was one girl who had a really eventful, busy and an envious year behind her, it undoubtedly was Rihanna.
