"They've both got massive fanbases who will buy their gear."

"It's also a sign that they're in the relationship for the long haul and that they think it's a romantic way to seal their relationship," the source said.

Calling me full-figured is just rude, says Christina Hendricks

Christina Hendricks

Christina Hendricks was left a little irritated when she was asked if she has inspired other women with her "full figure" in a recent interview.

The 37-year-old Mad Men star was offended when asked about her curvy shape, and got her publicist to ask the journalist to rephrase her question.

But fashion editor for Sydney's Sun-Herald newspaper Kate Waterhouse didn't seem to take the hint, asking the same question again of the flame-haired star.

"You have been an inspiration as a full-figured woman. What is the most inspiring story that you can remember where you've inspired someone?" the Daily Mail quoted Waterhouse as saying.

Seeming a little flustered at the question, Hendricks replied: "Um, I don't know...I'm sorry."

The video footage becomes particularly uncomfortable as Hendricks looks at her PR representative to save the day.

But again the reporter asks: "You've been known as an inspiration for women as being a full-figure..."

Hendricks interjects, telling the journalist: "I mean...you just said it again."

The fashion editor does manage to hold her own, however.

Pulling herself together, she apologies, insisting she misheard the PR's request to discontinue asking questions about her "full-figure".

According to E! Online, Hendricks later said off-camera, "I think calling me full-figured is just rude."

The Frida star fully supports the pop queen's right to bare.

"Do I envy Madonna's body? Yes. Do I thank God that she has it? Yes!" Us Magazine quoted her as telling Harper's Bazaar.

"If you're 50-something and you look like Madonna, and you put a lifetime's work in the way you look, then flash it to the world!" she said.

Adele, who reckons that she'd never have sold 32 million records worldwide if she was skinny, believes her huge success is all down to being curvy.

The 24-year-old plump singer asserted that she never suffered a setback with her voluptuous figure and doesn't prefer to look skinny as she is happy the way she is.

"I don't rely on my figure to sell records. "I don't want to be some skinny Minny with my ts out. I really don't want to do it," the Mirror quoted her as saying.

"No matter what you look like, I think the key is to be happy with yourself," she added.

Gwen Stefani has revealed that she is never dressed down, not even at home, as she wants to look good in front of her husband Gavin Rossdale.

The American singer, who is well known for her punk-rock image, makes sure that she never steps out without makeup.

"I'm still a teenager. Never went outside without makeup," Contactmusic quoted Stefani as telling Britain's Hello! Magazine.

"Seriously, I never look sloppy, not even at home. I also like it when Gavin says I look cute. Yes, I want him to think I'm hot!" she said.

The 43-year-old admitted that she is dressed up even while sitting at home and watching television, although in much less clothing as she is likely in bed.

"When I watch TV, it's almost always in bed. And there I'm very lightly dressed," the mother of two said.

Christina Aguilera hopes that her curvier figure will empower other women to embrace their own figures and sexuality.

The 31-year-old singer, who has drawn a huge amount of publicity for her current weight, admits that she is comfortable in her own skin and wishes her struggle will "empower" other women.

"I'm always in support of someone who is willing and comfortable in their own skin enough to embrace it," Contactmusic quoted her as telling the Sun newspaper.

"Embracing your body is so important, especially as a woman. In this business we are so analysed and judged," she said.

"It's wonderful to be in a position and have that side of myself that I can latch on to and empower other women. The older you get, the more important it is to embrace your body and your sexuality," she added.
