'Real-life Barbie' from Russia seeks to be world's most convincing doll
A 21-year-old girl, who has become an online sensation in her home country of Russia, claims on her blog to be the most famed woman on the Russian-language Internet.
Valeria Lukyanova's doll-like features, long blonde hair and 'perfect' body make her look like a real-life Barbie.
In fact, with her tiny waist and large breasts, she bears such a resemblance to the famed plastic doll that cynical web users have been speculating about whether or not she is real.
In a spoof video posted on YouTube, an animated version of the model undergoes surgery to enhance her already prominent assets.
The girl checks into a plastic surgeon's office. As she lies on an operating table, the 'surgeon' uses a hand-held pump to enlarge her breasts, before giving her a face-lift using putty and a chainsaw.
Horrified viewers have slammed the model over her looks.
"She looks not only ugly, but ridiculous," the Daily Mail quoted one viewer as saying.
"A woman with completely perfect features is a boring woman," another viewer said.
Others were kinder to the blonde beauty.
"Isn't unhealthy obsession on looking like a Barbie doll a part of her identity though?" one said.
However, the big question remains unanswered: "Is Valeria real or is this an elaborate Photoshop hoax?"
More 'normal' photos on her Facebook page of the 21-year-old wearing far less makeup suggest she does exists.
A YouTube video shows the transformation as she dolls herself up.
She has 155 subscribers following her profile on the social networking website -- double the number of friends she has at 78.
One fan, a man named Firtina Seymen has 'liked' virtually all of her photos and written 'beautiful' underneath them.
Photos have also been posted on her blog, on which she writes about making music and meditation.
According to NMA.TV she is seeking out followers in France and elsewhere in Europe.

Holly Willoughby 'wears earthquake-proof bra' post wardrobe malfunction
Holly Willoughby, who is famed for her sexy dressing sense and eye-popping display of cleavage, has revealed that she always wears an earthquake-proof bra now.
The 31-year-old TV presenter wants to make sure there'll be no repeat of her last appearance on CITV's kids' show Ministry of Mayhem when, during an energetic dance routine, one of her boobs popped out of her low-cut top.
"That was probably my most embarrassing moment on TV," the Mirror quoted her as saying.
"But I learnt a very valuable lesson, which was to always wear a sturdy bra. There could be an earthquake and I'd be the only person still in their dress!" she added.

I'm not a sex symbol, says Miranda Kerr
Miranda Kerr, who is often voted one of the world's sexiest women, has said that she doesn't see herself as a sex symbol but is comfortable posing in her underwear as she's happy with the way she looks.
The 29-year-old model said she's happy showing off her gorgeous body during the Victoria's Secret shows, but doesn't regard herself in the same way others do.
"It's not really something I'm aware of and it's definitely not how I see myself. I think it is something that definitely comes from working with Victoria's Secret because that's all about sexiness and all of the girls are so beautiful. I'm comfortable with it, but I don't look at myself in that way!" Contactmusic quoted her as telling Vogue.co.uk
The model, who has a 15-month-old son, Flynn, with husband Orlando Bloom, also said she always focuses on the positives rather than the negatives.
"'I never focus on the negative. Everyone has things that they don't love about themselves, but I think that, as women, it's much healthier and more positive to focus on your good parts and the things you like about yourself -- not pick yourself apart or be too hard on yourself."
"Everyone has a different beauty and different qualities and I think that women need to learn to love their qualities and be comfortable in the fact that everyone is different," she added.
Kerr, whose enviably toned body also scored her a contract with one of the world's best-known fitness brands, has revealed how daily 30-minute yoga sessions and a "super healthy" diet help hone her slender 5'9" frame.
Following the birth of her son she has also started experimenting with resistance training, a method favoured by a number of Hollywood stars including Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Alba.
"I make sure I do half an hour of yoga in the morning so that then I'm feeling good," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying while shooting the latest Reebok campaign for Easytone shoes.
"I have been working out quite a bit doing Pilates and yoga and strength training with weights and resistant bands and I eat super healthy. Health is really wealth I think.".
Demonstrating how yoga has made her body more flexible, Kerr pulls her lithe leg up behind her head for one shot, arching her back while gazing over her shoulder at the camera.
In another picture she opts for a white swimsuit with her Easytone trainers, while sporting wet, tousled hair and smoky eye makeup.
Additionally, to give her mind a break from her hectic schedule and motherhood, the model said daily meditation helps her to find greater peace and calm.
"If I'm in the car on the way to work or if I'm on the plane on the way to a job I'll do a meditation," she added.

Katy Perry narrowly escapes wardrobe malfunction
Katy Perry nearly had a wardrobe malfunction, at the ASCAP Pop Music Awards, after she trotted along to the event in a slinky dress with tiny straps.
The 27-year-old singer had gone bra-less in the gorgeous and mermaid-esque backless dress that she wore.
Ditching her bra forced the pop star to constantly rearrange herself every time the straps fell to her shoulders, the Mirror reported.
The Firework hitmaker just about managed to keep her breasts under wraps, but it was touch and go on the red carpet for a while.
Perry headed to the glamorous awards -- where she was presenting a gong -- in the bridal number after finishing a shoot for her new movie.
She posted a picture on Twitter yesterday and wrote: "Shot my official MOVIE poster last night! SO EXCITED. Check the film trailer!"

Kim Kardashian reveals secret to her flawless complexion
Kim Kardashian has shared exactly how she achieves her flawless complexion, by posting a picture of herself on her Twitter page.
In the shot, the reality star is seen with some kind of yellow-based primer smeared all over her otherwise makeup free face.
The picture was posted with the caption: "Glamming up with @1maryphillips!!! A little confused by her new technique BUT I know it will be fab!"
She later tweeted a shot of the finished look, writing: "Flash a little bright but here's the after pic!!!" the Daily Mail reported.
Kardashian was having her makeup done ahead of attending the Jeep Brand and USA Basketball celebration of the launch of the 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Altitude at LA Center Studio.
While it is not clear exactly what kind of product was used on her face, it appeared to be some kind of colour-correcting primer.
Yellow-coloured primer is usually used to disguise under-eye circles and mild red tones on the face.
