Gisele Bundchen

Welcome to the weekly fashion round-up, where we bring you the latest on supermodels, style, designers and everything in-between!

Which sexy star is redefining what it means to be 'sexy'? Who is Britain's best-dressed woman? Here's the lowdown on the latest fashion news!

Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen has revealed that she had to share showers with her sisters when she was growing up, because her family was poor.

The 31-year-old model further revealed that they were six sisters in the family, who used to stay in a two-bedroom house. So, often in a bid to save time and energy, they used to wash together.

"We slept in bunk beds and every time anyone wanted a shower, it was like, me first, me first! Sometimes my sisters and I would share one together to save time," Contactmusic quoted her as telling Vogue magazine.

Bundchen insists that she is still extremely close with her siblings and parents and loves taking vacations with the entire family.

"Family, for me, is my base. I'm so grateful for that. I really feel that if I did not have that foundation when I was 16, I wouldn't have dared to leave.

"Every year we have a family holiday, all of us together - my sisters, my parents, my sisters' husbands and children. It's kind of a sacred time," she added. (ANI)

Dita Von Teese

Dita Von Teese has redefined sexy in her own way and given her feminist critics a message too.

The 39-year-old burlesque model recently spoke on sex, books, feminism and why sexiness in a woman has nothing to do with men, and also gave a few tips on looking uniquely beautiful.

'Being sexy is not about what men want, or how young you are or how your body looks or how much money you have,' the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Von Teese as saying.

'It's a certain inner confidence, a comfort level when you've learned something about yourself, what makes you happy...'

And the fact that 80 per cent of her show tickets are bought by women, thrills Von Teese.

'I say to those who say I'm anti-feminist, 'How can you say that when my audience is overwhelmingly female? You can't say that what I do is just for the pleasure of men and I'm being exploited.'"

'I don't fit into most of the modern stereotypes of what beauty is,' she

'Look at the cover of Sports Illustrated," she said.

'That idea of creating glamour and beauty interests me more, of working hard to achieve something you were not born with. Then it becomes more special.'

'This is what my female fan-base discovers, that you don't have to be skinny-skinny to be sexy, you don't have to be born with it, you can get in the spirit of what I'm on about with a radical game of dress-ups. Set your hair in curlers, put on some red lipstick ... see what it's like to feel unique,' she added.

PETA has slammed Reese Witherspoon for carrying a python skin purse.

The Water For Elephants star, who was nominated as 'World's Sexiest Vegetarian' in 2005 by PETA, has been spotted several times in Los Angeles carrying a Chloe Paraty python and leather purse.

The 35-year-old star did not buy the bag in California as the popular snakeskin has been banned there from sale since 1970.

"No matter how much Reese paid for that bag, the animals paid a much higher price," Radar Online quoted Nicole Dao, Media Liaison for the PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) as saying.

"We can't imagine that she'd wish to contribute to this hidden suffering, especially for something as frivolous as a fashion accessory that can be replicated with no bloodshed," she added.

Kate Middleton arrives ahead of her wedding at Westminster Abbey

Fashion experts from the UK edition of American fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar have crowned the Duchess of Cambridge as the best-dressed woman of Britain in 2011.

The judges were told to choose 20 women who represented British style and Kate headed the list that included Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine, actresses Andrea Riseborough, Keira Knightley and Tilda Swinton, model Kate Moss, Prime Minister David Cameron's wife Samantha and fashion designer Stella McCartney.

The 29-year-old had, however, told aides that she didn't want to be seen as a mere 'clothes horse,' the Daily Express reported.

"Catherine's incredible style evolution has gripped us all," the panel of judges said.

A Global Language Monitor survey in August had said that London had overtaken New York as the world's fashion capital for 2011 and the Will-Kate royal wedding had a big role to play in this.

"She gave us the year's, if not the century's, most thrilling fashion moment," said Lucy Yeomans, editor of the Harper's Bazaar.
