Charismatic and stylish, witty and intelligent -- we can't help but love them. And when they're kind enough to dispense some wardrobe wisdom, well, that just makes them irresistible.

One of India's leading fashion and lifestyle magazine Vogue India spoke to three of India's best dressed men and asked them each to define what style and fashion meant to them.

From the most dreaded outfits to the best grooming tips they received, the irresistible men spilled the beans about their best kept secrets.

Read on to find out who these men are and what makes them so stylish in real life.

Saif Ali Khan

Profession: Actor

Style: He's a little bit of everything -- an actor, a jokester, a charmer, a nawab. Plus he's got serious style cred -- whether in a tailored bandhgala or a rocker tee. No wonder he's a favourite with the ladies -- we do love a man who keeps us on our toes.

How would you describe your style?

My style is at heart Rastafarian, though I am also influenced by my family's heritage and its more sombre classicism. But for me on a day-to-day basis it's also about a great deal of comfort in basic jeans and T-shirts.

You’d never be caught dead in…

Acid-washed jeans and blingy clothes. Slim-fit suits and organic kameezes are my perennial favourites.

One way you make royalty look hip?

You tell me. You are in the fashion business. I am not.

What’s more stylish: swag or twerk?

Neither. One shows daggy underwear, the other a gyrating derrière.

The world’s best grooming tips come from…

My family. They call a spade a spade. Not spandex.

Which James Bond would you be?

Sean Connery, because he exuded the kind of slick, unaffected confidence that made me want to earn my badge of honour.

Cary Grant or James Dean?

James Dean. I thrive in a world of creative angst. It drives me. It pushes me. It propels me forward. James Dean was a misfit. So am I.

What does style mean to you?

For me style is first and foremost a state of mind before it translates into clothes. Wearing an impeccable Raghavendra Rathore bandgala also means I automatically zone into a stance and gait of dignity and pride.

Style icon

'Style' and 'icon' together? That's an oxymoron.

Rahul Khanna

Profession: Actor

Style: A fixture on best-dressed lists across the country, this crisp and classic dresser knows a thing or two about getting it right.

How would you describe your style?

Minty.

What’s the one style rule you always follow?

You do not talk about Fight Club.

The best style/grooming tip you received...

Massaging your face with an ice cube to reduce redness from shaving or puffiness from a late night.

Your getting-dressed routine..

I like having everything I'm going to wear, including things like socks and cufflinks, laid out on my bed so I can take stock before assembling it all on my person.

Your failsafe look...

Dark jeans, dark blazer, white shirt.

A style tip you’d like to share...

If you hate visible logos as much as I do and don't have time to visit an optician, you'll be about it in the Vogue India December 2013 issue.

Irreverent and un-indulgent.

Morning routine...

I never look in the mirror when I'm getting dressed.

Failsafe look...

A cotton suit, flip-flops and no tie.

Steve McQueen.

Fellini films from the 1960s.

The secret of a well-dressed man...

Simplicity.
