PIX: Geeta Basra brings oomph to the LFW!

Here's a look at duo Parvesh Jai's summer line, showcased on Day One of Lakme Fashion Week.

Garments in three dimensional form with hand paint and applique work came together to create Parvesh Jai's 'Rural Species' line on the LFW's first day.

In their own words, the two were inspired by inspired "the urge of invocation of holy spirits, the divine power of the gods and their creation of blissful nature -- flora and fauna animals, birds and fish".

And performing showstopping honours was the lovely Geeta Basra -- take a look.

It was hard to miss the theme with outfits like this one -- an armour-like ram of crystal, worn across the torso and over a swishing, multi-print mini.

Fishy fashion

Next we have this pastel, flowing maxi with circular motif at the neck and a fish print at the hem.

Bright and sunny

Yellow palazzo pants make their presence felt on the ramp, teamed with a pink bikini.

The ideal beach cover-up, this blue floaty number sports both rich cutwork and threadwork.

Sparkling away, a crystal-encrusted fish bustier is softened by a sarong skirt.

The duo send out another cascading sheer maxi, this time in pale pink with bird motif.
