SUPER HOT: Mandira Bedi burns up the ramp

The second show slot on the final day of the Lakme Fashion Week saw Pallavi Jaipur, Pooja Kapoor and Vijay Balhara showing their latest lines.
Pallavi Jaipur began with her collection, Buzzar inspired from the busy shopping streets of Jaipur, her hometown. Here Candice Pinto walks the ramp in a dreamy outfit.

Cape trend
Cape dresses and gowns seem to be back in business. Seen here is Sucheta Sharma walking the ramp in a bright orange coloured one with a block print cape.
Couture beading
Every designs in Pallavi's copllection is said to be symbolic of the streets of the Bazaar.
This sari is part of the collection that seems to emblematise the Johari Bazaar where one finds bangles and meenakari work and beads.
Sunshine yellow
The Haldiyon Ka Rasta (in Johari Bazaar, Jaipur) finds expression in this bright yellow dress worn by Shweta Doli.
Plenty of razzle dazzle
Mandira Bedi seems to be carrying the entire bazaar on her skirts as she closes the show for the young designer.

Pooja Kapoor's 'warrior-priestess'
Pooja Kapoor's womenswear line paid tribute to the 'warrior-priestess', a woman who in her own words 'strives to use fierce grace in her battle for truth and higher consciousness'. It is thus that we see an almost ancient Roman silhouette in this first outfit.
Striped beauty
Kapoor worked only with whites and yellows. Rikee Chatterjee walks the ramp in an off-shoulder striped yellow dress.
White drape
A white sari simply draped appears on the ramp modelled by the pretty Reha Sukheja.
Raising the hemline
Next up we have Kavita Kharayat in a cute yellow mini that had us going weak in our knees.
Asymmetric fashion
Finally Manasvi Mamgai walks the ramp in a bright yellow but rather plain-looking dress.

Looking pretty as a petal, designer Pooja Kapoor takes a bow at the end of the show.
Vijay Balhara's 'In coversation with stones'
Designer Vijay Balhara showed his womenswear line at the Lakme Fashion Week.
Called 'In conversation with stones' the collection was a tribute of sorts to the two cities he lived in -- Mumbai and Delhi.
Heritage inspired
The collection sought inspiration from the ornamental tiles and marble inlay artwork in the heritage buildings in the two cities.
Silk shine
The colour palette of the lines comprised olive, jade green, bright coral pink and purple in fabrics such as dupioni silk, linen, chanderi, crepe, net and tulle.
Yawn worthy
The stunning Kavita Kharayat walks the ramp in one of Balhara's gowns sporting an eye patch.
Stitch art
The embroidery techniques of Zardosi and dabka along with Nakshi and cut dana work also made their way on the runway.
