Last updated on: August 18, 2011 18:29 IST

Witness the chaos that goes on behind the scenes at a Lakme Fashion Week showing!

The banquet halls of the Grand Hyatt have metamorphosed and a glamorous ramp runs through the middle. The calm and organised feel of the auditorium, however, is in stark contrast to the madness and mayhem that goes on backstage.

Rajesh Karkera offers us a glimpse into what was happening behind the scenes even as models stride onto the runway, looking cool as cucumbers.

There are those few moments just before the show starts when everything just comes to a standstill. There's no activity, no chaos, no madness. Things just seem to pause. It all lasts barely a few seconds. A model takes a breather.

Ready for action
