Shruti Sancheti's new collection 'Thar' was inspired by this desert region and accordingly created, with nomadic nuances employing Rajasthani Shibori, a form of tie-dye and Sindhi Tanka or Kutch stitch, also a trademark of the villages thereabout.

Saris worn with Jodhpuri pants, cowl trousers, ijjars or churidars and other layered garments came into focus, showing off a melange of colours like deep orange, mango yellow, indigo, royal purple and emerald.
