We caught up with model Acquin Pais at the LFW and here, he speaks about the women who turn him on, his physique, and what modelling is all about.

Can you describe your physique for us?

I am blessed with a very good metabolic rate, so I don't put on a lot of weight. For me, my physique is lean and skinny. I do run a lot, but I am not a person who will lift a lot of weight, because I model abroad.

So do you run the marathon?

Not the Indian marathon, but I did run the London Marathon.

What do you have in your gym bag?

My iPod is very important. I usually have my towel and some energy drink.

What do you wear when you work out?

If I am running, it is basically shorts, and if I am lifting weights then a track pant and sweat shirt. Just something pretty normal.

Five hot Indian women?

That's a very tough question because... umm... well. Actually, my girlfriend Liza Golden is certainly very hot. She is the face of Lakme. The other one... I don't know... it's not coming to me... I think one name is enough.

What kind of women turn you on?

Someone who has a good sense of humour, personality, and someone who is not afraid of making a fool of herself.

Women who turn you off?

Ignorant women who pretend to act like divas.

Women who you find sexy?

Hollywood stars like Natalie Portman. She is simple, sweet, has a good sense of humour, and isn't over the top.

What's your favourite cuisine?

My fave cuisine right now is Mexican. I also tend to switch a lot to Thai food because I like spicy food.

Your fave drink?

My fave drink is vodka with Red Bull.

And your favourite hangout?

At home or at a friends' place, because I am not a huge fan of public spaces. I really like to relax with the people I like so that I am happy.

As an insider, what would be your tips for young male and female aspiring models?

  • Remember that modelling is not a permanent career. It's temporary, because looks don't last long.
  • Just go with flow.
  • Be grounded and humble. The minute one gets into the limelight, people tend to think they are God's gifts to people on this planet.
  • Do concentrate on things other than modelling too.
  • Smile all the time, be happy, and treat everyone with respect.
