Behind the glamorous pictures that you see on your screens each year, goes a lot of work. Photographer Atul Kasbekar who has been shooting the calendar each year for a decade now will probably tell you that shooting for the calendar itsn't all haha hehe. It takes hours before you get the shot you want sometimes and the beach sun isn't always most welcoming.
For everyone's who's ogled over the barely-dressed women, you may want to see what goes behind the scenes.

A model gets set to get shot on the beaches of Sri Lanka. It is the first time in ten years that the Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar has been shot in the island country.

Atul Kasbekar who has been shooting the calendar since the very first edition confesses to have fallen in love with Sri Lanka.
"Sri Lanka, he says, "is every photographers delight. Exotic landscape, fantastic light and very comfy humidity levels make it easier to shoot outdoor all day."

She is the granddaughter of the late movie actress Usha Kiran. Her mother Uttara Mhatre Kher was the Femina Miss India World back in 1982 while her aunt (father's sister) is the actress Tanvi Azmi, who is in turn the sister-in-law of Shabana Azmi.
