Sharapova, Beckham turn up the heat at NY Fashion Week

Maria Sharapova, David Beckham, Christina Hendricks were among the hotsteppers who showed up at the ongoing New York Fashion Week.

Fashion industry’s hottest event is underway and everybody who’s somebody is making sure to be seen. From David Beckham to Maria Sharapova and Kelly Osbourne were here! Hell! So was Kanye West! Find out who else got snapped:

We start out with the elegant Maria Sharapova who was among the many guests at Jason Wu’s show. Wu, who is best known for designing Obama's stunning inaugural gowns, showed a sexy lingerie-inspired line at the Fashion Week.

Incidentally, this was the first time Sharapova sat in on a Jason Wu show.

Supporting designer Alexander Wang was singer Courtney Love. The collection spelt Wang, literally, as the designer wrote his name on his clothes in laser cut leather and lace

Also spotted was a rather grumpy looking Kanye West. The rapper whose eponymous line was panned is hoping to make a comeback with a 100-piece unisex collection at this year’s Paris Fashion Week. Meanwhile here he is lending support to Alexander Wang.

Also making her presence felt at the Alexander Wang show was singer Solange Knowles.

Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks turned up in an amazing raspberry knee-length Zac Posen frock -- she's worn his creations at several high-profile events -- at his show during New York Fashion Week.

Also at the Zac Posen show was Kelly Osbourne who came along with her vegan chef fiance Matthew Mosshart in tow.

Oh the sight of David Beckham in a black jacket! The soccer star who came up to support his wife Victoria Beckham along with daughter Harper Seven is seen here chatting up Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

We end this edition of celebrity watch with the stunning Vogue editor Anna Wintour who seems eager to make a dash for the exit after a presentation of the Tommy Hilfiger Spring/Summer 2014 collection during New York Fashion Week. Wintour is considered by many as the final word in fashion and is said to be the model on which Meryl Streep's character in The Devil Wears Prada was based.
