Welcome to the weekly fashion round-up, where we bring you the latest on supermodels, style, designers and everything in-between!

It has been a week of Kates -- Upton went nude for Muse, Walsh dropped her clothes for Shape and Moss discovered that one of her arms was paralysed, though only temporarily. All this and much more from the world of fashion!

After appearing on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, model Kate Upton has now dropped all her clothes as she posed for the cover of a magazine recently.

Upton who is all of 19 has posed naked on the cover of the Italian magazine called Muse one that calls itself a 'fashionart magazine'.

Styled on the lines of Marilyn Monroe, Kate Upton evokes the retro era reference with just her hair and make-up having worn little else.

The sexy model had recently gained a considerable amount of weight over summer but has slimmed down and looks curvaceous in the image.

Upton was in the news recently for being on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue two weeks ago and has since appeared in Esquire and a Carl's Jr burger commercial. She will not however appear in a Victoria's Secret show any time soon after the lingerie company's creative head, Sophia Neophitou said in an interview that the lingerie giant would not approach her for the event.

Mother of a 12-year-old, Helena Christensen looks as yummy as she did in her heyday as a Victoria's Secret model and shows she can give the younger ones a run for their money

"For me, it's essential for a lingerie company to have a female perspective.  After all, women are wearing these pieces and it's all about what makes you feel good. And these sophisticated styles definitely do that," she has been quoted as saying.

Interestingly, she also revealed that she is in reality a blonde and not a redhead and being blonde did get her a lot of attention from the men.

Now though the red hue is part of her personality, one she says that goes well with who she is.

"I'm stronger and sassier as a redhead. It's much more me," she has been quoted as saying.

Welsh also revealed that she is past her dieting days and now rather than having a plateful of diet food, she'd prefer having smaller portions of good food.

Emma Watson, whose cropped hairdo has been lauded as influential, has revealed that its initial inception wasn't exactly constructive.

The 21-year-old face of Lancome said that her red carpet style is also hotly contested.

"I had journalists asking me if this meant I was coming out, if I was a lesbian now," People magazine quoted her as telling U.K.'s Independent.

"That haircut did make me realise how subjective everyone's opinion is. Some people were crazy for it and some people just thought I'd lost my mind," she said.

The actress said that after graduating from the Harry Potter franchise, "I was fully game for 'Throw me in this, throw me in that'."

"The press destroyed me over this Rodarte dress I once wore -- it was bright blue with chains on it. I loved it," she said.

Perhaps Watson has decided to tone it down as a result of the negativity.

"I have to be more careful with my look in my everyday life," she said.

Still, she refuses to apologise for the decisions she makes.

"I'm a multidimensional person and that's the freedom of fashion that you're able to reinvent yourself through how you dress and how you cut your hair or whatever," she added.

Freida Pinto feels vintage costumes have 'a certain royalty'

Freida Pinto

Freida Pinto faced some criticism for her sexy costumes when she played an Arab princess Leyla in her recent film Black Gold, but the actress says they're a blend of tradition and modernity.

Based on Hans Ruesch's sweeping historical novel The Great Thirst, set in 1930s Arabia at the dawn of the oil boom, it focuses on a young Arab prince torn between allegiances to a conservative father and his modern, liberal father-in-law.

The film marks the Doha Film Institute's first foray into major international filmmaking and had a high profile world premiere at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival.

The quintessentially Arab tale has been directed by French director Jean Jacques-Annaud.

Pinto says the controversial attire came about after much hard work by the film's costume designer Fabio Perrone.

"There's a certain royalty that comes with vintage costumes and I had an almost two day play-date with Fabio. Jean-Jacques was mindful of dressing me up as the traditional princess while also communicating her desire to just break out and be modern. It's a blend of both," the Independent quoted her as saying.

Apart from the Slumdog Millionaire actress, Black Gold boasts of an international cast featuring Spaniard Antonio Banderas and Briton Mark Strong as warring emirs, the rising French-Algerian star Tahar Rahim as an Arab prince and the Ethiopian actress and Estee Lauder model Liya Kebede as a rebel tribeswoman. It also stars Britons Akin Gazi, Riz Ahmed and Jan Uddin.

Monica Bellucci for Dolce and Gabbana

Monica Bellucci, the stunning screen siren and model, has joined the likes of Scarlett Johansson and Felicity Jones as the face of Dolce and Gabbana's cosmetics line.

The 47-year-old Italian actress, who has created a lipstick line for the brand, showed off the perfect pout in a new campaign.

Bellucci is a long time friend of the design duo who have shown their loyalty and adoration of the Italian beauty by launching a lipstick collection in honour of her trademark pout.

The Monica Lipstick Collection celebrates 'her remarkable magnetism' according to a press release, and will be available for a limited time only.

"With her famed fulsome lips, impeccable complexion and daring, expressive eyes she exudes the irony, mystery and charm that comprises the very essence of the Dolce and Gabbana woman," the Daily Mail quoted the release as saying about the collaboration.

Famed for her sensuality and voluptuous curves, Bellucci also posed for her fellow countrymen in their Spring 2012 campaign for their ready-to-wear collection.

The choice to use her for their cosmetics line seems like an obvious one given her popularity and recognition as an Italian sex symbol.

"We love Monica and have worked with her many times over the past 20 years. Her beauty is timeless," Domenico Dolce said.

Dolce's partner Stefano Gabbana also agreed to what he said.

"She expresses perfectly the Dolce and Gabbana woman," Gabbana said.

"She is ravishing -- a true Italian icon," he said.

For her part, the actress is also excited about the partnership.

"I'm delighted to be collaborating with Domenico and Stefano on Dolce&Gabbana The Make Up," she said.

"I have always adored the aesthetic of Dolce and Gabbana and it's so exciting to be involved with their creative process," Bellucci said.

Though the model she shows no sign of losing her looks and is still a favourite amongst readers of mens' magazines, the photographs have been considerably airbrushed.

Kate Moss left with paralyzed arm after night out at Ritz

Kate Moss

Kate Moss has been diagnosed with a nerve disorder that has rendered her 'temporarily paralysed', according to friends.

The 38-year-old supermodel was unable to move her right arm after a night out at the Ritz hotel in Paris.

Although she will make a full recovery, the illness is a blow for Moss, who is about to move into her new 7.25 million-pound house in Highgate, North London, with husband Jamie Hince.

The couple have built a state-of-the-art gym at the property, but it will be some time before Moss is pumping iron.

"Kate was at the Ritz when she woke and had no feeling in her arm, which was terrifying," the Daily Mail quoted a friend as saying.

"She saw the hotel's doctor and when she came back, she got a second opinion.

"She has told her friends she has ulnar nerve entrapment, a common disorder that can result in a temporary paralysis," the friends said.

As Kate prepares to move into her luxury mansion – which has cardio machines, a marble wetroom and sauna as well as a huge Turkish steam bath with Jacuzzi – she may need an extra pair of hands to help with all the unpacking.

For the time being, an unhappy Moss has told friends that she cannot even take the lid off a jar.

"Jamie will do most of the unpacking as Kate has been in a lot of pain.

"She was told the condition could take months to heal. She has told all her friends about her hospital drama," the friend said.

Kate plans a housewarming party, which has been pushed back until she has fully recovered.

"Her hand is not paralysed or injured in any permanent way," a source close to the supermodel said.

Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore is known for her unusual dress choices, but for her wedding, the actress wants to go with a more traditional look.

The recently engaged actress was at the Marni for H and M event on Friday when she was asked what kind of dress she had in mind for her big day.

"Not a plunging neckline! Something tasteful. Something timeless," the Us Weekly quoted her as saying.

The actress' fiance, art consultant, Will Kopelman, proposed to her over the holidays in Sun Valley, Idaho with a magnificent, D-color radiant cut Graff diamond (weighing just under four carats).

Last month, Barrymore revealed to Good Morning America's Robin Roberts that she and Kopelman are in no way the Bridezilla and Groomzilla kind.

"I think everyone expects you to kind of know right away what the plans are.

"I'm like, 'oh goodness, it just happened a month ago! Do I not have it together or is it ok to keep daydreaming?'" she said.

Helen Flanagan vows to cover up 'embarrassing' boobs

Helen Flanagan, who claims to be embarrassed about her ample cleavage, has vowed to cover up in polo necks after showing off her curvy figure in a risque dress over the weekend.

The 21-year-old actress however couldn't help share a photo of herself in yet-another low-cut top, giving her followers a treat.

"I can't lie I'm really embarrassed about my boobs. I just wear whatever dress I think is prettiest x," the Daily Mail quoted her as tweeting.

The comment was no doubt in reference to the eye-popping beige Jean Paul Gaultier La Perla dress she wore on Saturday during a night out with her footballer boyfriend Scott Sinclair, which barely covered her chest.

Then, in a bizarre way of proving her embarrassment, she tweeted a photo of herself in a floral top as she showed off her plump pout, staring seductively at the camera.

Soon after, she added another photo in a more demure, long-sleeved black top, saying
"Polo necks for me from now on."

"I'm actually sensitive," she said

After the photos, the Coronation Street star copped a bit of flack from some of her followers.

She responded to one, who said her outfits were "outrageous".

"What do you think when you write a nasty message? Very Strange. Hating is bad for you x," she said.

The actress is known for posting provocative photos on the social networking site and also showed off her figure during a recent trip to Dubai, in a blue string bikini.

PETA lands in trouble over vegan 'violent sex is good sex' ad

Last updated on: February 24, 2012 18:08 IST
on Rediff iShare: The PETA WVAKTBOOM ad

PETA, which is famous for its shocking adverts, has landed itself in hot water with women's rights campaigners over their latest campaign, which features the message that violent sex is good sex.

The ad is a spoof of a PSA about a fictional syndrome called WVAKTBOOM, or, "Boyfriend Went Vegan and Knocked the Bottom out of Me... a painful condition that occurs when boyfriends go Vegan and can suddenly bring it like a tantric porn star."

The advert shows a woman wearing a neck brace trudging painfully back from shops. Under her parka coat she appears to have forgotten her skirt.

Back at home her sprightly, newly vegan boyfriend, wearing only his tighty whiteys, is fixing a hole in the wall, another casualty of last night's sextravaganza, a flashback hints.

"Are you feeling better," he asks, as she undresses, and lobs the celery at him, hard.

Critics have been quick to accuse PETA of joking about domestic violence or implying that good sex should be rough enough to warrant medical care.

"Cannot find the humor in this at all! I worked with Domestic Violence for 4 years...this ad is not amusing" the Daily Mail quoted Mum LaCroix as commenting on the PETA website.

"I think its sad that you equate good sex with painful, violent sex, I guess your trying to be sarcastic?" James Jewell wrote.

A spokesman commented on the 'playful' ad.

"The piece is tongue-in-cheek. People who watch the ad all the way through see the woman has a mischievous smile. She's happy to go back with him. It's playful," he told yahoo News.

However, the advert could be considered particularly offensive in the light of shocking pro-domestic violence tweets posted by teens during Chris Brown's Grammys performance last Sunday.

This is not the first time the extremist group have courted controversy with shock tactics.

Last year PETA suggested those who swim or fish in waters containing sharks are attacked or killed as "payback".

The poster showed a shark eating a severed human leg and the blood-stained slogan "Payback is Hell".
