People magazine has returned with its annual list of best-dressed women. Here are the top ten ladies who are making heads turn.
Each year, People magazine releases its annual list of the best-dressed women in the world. This year too, the magazine's editors and doff their hats to the women who made a style statement each time they stepped out into public view.
We start out with the Scandal star Kerry Washington who was voted the best-dressed celebrity. Washington told the magazine that the secret to her impeccable style was her ability to find 'the middle ground. "It's not dressing like a nun and it's also not dressing like I'm in a swimsuit competition," she told the magazine.

The Silver Linings Playbook star has been making all the right moves in the showbiz -- be it selecting her movies or her red carpet outfits. Jennifer Lawrence was named The High Fashionista for her 'refreshing fearlessness with her style'.
"She chooses pieces with great embellishments and detail, but she knows just when to show restraint so the details don't go overboard," the magazine wrote.
Emma Stone
Next up we have Emma Stone who was named 'The Classic Cool Girl' for 'her effortless balance of classic style while staying on top of the most current trends'.
The Spiderman star has three movies lined up for release in 2014 including a Woody Allen project.
Nicole Richie
The Simple Life star Nicole Richie has always had an eclectic style -- heck she dyed her hair white at the MET Gala! And according to the good folks at people, 'in the last six months she really knocked it out of the park.'
Zoe Saldana
Not too long after being voted as one of McAfee's top ten most dangerous celebrities on the web, Zoe Saldana has been named The Jean Queen by the folks at People who write: "(Saldana) just makes it look so easy. Plus, she rocks jeans of all shapes and sizes: the boyfriend jean, ripped ones. She does it all."
Solange Knowles
The singer, DJ, businesswoman and the relatively lesser-known sister of singer Beyonce Knowles, Solange Knowles was named 'The Daredevil' for her unique fashion choices.
"She's not a 6-foot-tall super-skinny model, but sometimes she can pull it off so much better than the runway," the magazine editors said.
Kate Bosworth
Also applauded was the American singer-model-actress Kate Bosworth's 'basic and chic' style that is 'effortless' and one 'that so many people will be able to afford'.
Jenna Dewan-Tatum
Earlier this year, we had listed Jenna Dewan-Tatum among the best-dressed pregnant celebrities.
Channing Tatum's lovely dancer-actress wife also received a nod for her pregnancy wardrobe selection.
"I think [Dewan-Tatum] is brilliant at mixing maternity and not maternity. What I see with other celebrities is that they're either completely non-maternity or completely maternity, and it doesn't work all the time. I think mixing and matching is a great way to go," Rosie Pope of Rosie Pope Maternity who nominated her for the list wrote in People.
Jessica Chastain
People magazine named the Zero Dark Thirty star Jessica Chastain 'The Red Carpet Pro' for her choice of wardrobe. Linda Fargo, senior vice president of Bergdorf Goodman said that she admired the 'range in the roles she's chosen to take on, and similarly her taste in the designers she chooses to wear when it counts most'.
Lily Collins
We round up the list with yet another star who was recently in the news for being in the most dangerous celebrities on the web list besides Zoe Saldana, Lily Collins was named 'The up-and-comer' for 'rocking Hollywood and the fashion world with her innocent, yet sexy and confident performances'.
"She is not afraid to dress to impress showing just a bit of skin here and there, which has the designers always coming back for more," the magazine wrote.
