Lady Gaga, Angelina on Best Dressed List 2010!
Fashion bible Vogue conducted an online poll to find out just which celebs were the most stylish this year -- here are the results!
The latest best-dressed list for 2010 is a study in contrasts -- from Lady Gaga to Michelle Obama, the entries are diverse and rather interesting.
We bring you all the contenders, starting from the bottom rung and moving our way to the top!
20. Victoria Beckham
Mrs Beckham was once frowned upon by fashion critics for too much bling and opulence, but with her new demure look and successful clothing line, that's all changed. She debuts at Number 20, with Vogue fashion director Lucinda Chambers quoted as saying on their official website that the erstwhile Posh Spice has " really found her style now." Let's hope she doesn't lose it!
19. Samantha Cameron
She may not be as high-profile as her US counterpart, but the UK's First Lady has also made her mark with a classy, low-key wardrobe. She comes in at ninteenth place.
18. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
The Victoria's Secret Angel is just as sexy in a pair of jeans and a jacket as she is in a red carpet number, for which she nabbed eighteenth spot.
17. Olivia Palermo
The American socialite and actress may not have made a mark in acting, but she certainly has in the fashion department. On the official Vogue website, her style was described as "young and modern and contemporary".
16. Michelle Williams
The petite Dawson's Creek star always manages to come up with unique looks that flatter her -- and which few others could carry off!
15. Michelle Obama
Williams is preceded by her namesake and the First Lady of the US. The profile of every designer that Mrs O has ever endorsed has skyrocketed ever since President Obama came to power!
14. Lara Stone
This Dutch model is a classic beauty -- with her blonde hair and doe eyes, she can carry off pretty much anything, but she makes it a point to dress well.
13. Lady Gaga
Coming in at Number Thirteen is the most controversial entry to the list -- Lady Gaga! You can never predict what she'll show up in next -- with her meat dresses, outrageous wigs and crazy high heels, you can't deny that everyone is looking forward to her next outfit!
12. Keira Knightley
Slim, with an exquisite face and great legs, Keira has been showing off her couture edge since she was barely out of her teens and came in at 12.
11. Kate Winslet
The curvy actress certainly knows how to work her wardrobe to her advantage -- if you've ever seen her on the red carpey, you'll know what we mean!
10. Kate Moss
It will make little difference to Moss that she's rounding off the top 10, because Vogue already christened the supermodel 'Best-dressed of the Decade' earlier this year!
9. Julia Restoin-Roitfeld
The daughter of French Vogue Editor-in-Chief Carine Roitfeld is following in her mother's fashionista footsteps and managed to pip actresses and supermodels to grab ninth position.
8. Josephine de la Baume
The French singer and actress has a sense of style that's sophisticated and sexy at the same time, landing her in eighth spot.
7. Freja Beha Erichsen
The Danish model is rapidly creating a name for herself in the fashion world and even off the ramp, her dressing is described as 'edgy' and 'cool'.
6. Emma Watson
The Harry Potter star is all grown up now and dazzles the world each time she graces the red carpet. Vogue fashion director Kate Phelan said her new pixie hairdo makes her look 'fresh'.
5. Elisa Sednaoui
The Italian actress has managed to please critics, with her classic choices and subtle taste in colour pushing her into the top five.
4. Edie Campbell
British catwalker Edie is only 19 and has already been the face of Burberry and Marc Jacobs, so hobnobbing with couturiers seems to have paid off for her!
3. Carey Mulligan
Second runner-up Carey is a cutie who can carry off pretty much anything -- the actress has a way of shining in all her style choices.
2. Angelina Jolie
Hollywood glam still does it for Angelina, who is the cynosure of all eyes each time she steps out -- and she's never disappointed so far, so you can't expect her to stray too far from the top spot!
1. Alexa Chung
And finally, TV presenter Alexa, who's been on the fashion radar the most this year, comes in at Number One. Vogue fashion director Kate Phelan was quoted as saying that she "puts her geek chic spin on her designer favourites" to make them her own -- and it's certainly paid off!
