The most FASCINATING people of 2011!

Prominent TV personality Barbara Walters has announced her 19th annual '10 Most Fascinating People' list for this year -- take a look!

They've been making headlines all through 2011 and their profiles have been upped considerably.

So it's not surprising that these celebrities have the 'it' factor and figure in one of the most prestigious 'lists' of the year, put out by none other than the legendary Barbara Walters.

Bear in mind, though, that only one personality can take the top spot and that name will be announced by Walters only on December 14!

In the meantime, however, we bring you all the names that matter, in no particular order.

Pippa Middleton

Up until the Royal Wedding, Pippa was her sister's sidekick, but one look at her fab figure in a bridesmaid's dress upped her standing so that it now rivals the Duchess of Cambridge! One of the most eligible bachelorettes in the world today, the Middleton middling's star continues to rise -- where Pippa goes, a media circus is sure to follow!

The maker and breaker of musical careers, what Simon says goes. The reality show judge is a straight-shooting, often insulting, charismatic television personality -- and he never shies away from controversy!

The man we all love to hate is building on his popularity by the day and 2011 in particular, which saw Simon switch from American Idol to rival show X Factor USA, has seen him dominate even more headlines than usual.

They're famous for being famous, which is by far as fascinating as it gets!

The Kardashian clan has a reality show documenting their everyday lives and this year has seen more than its fair share of drama -- Kim's 20 million dollar dream wedding, followed by a filing for divorce within 72 days, mother Kris Jenner's book launch, sister Kourteney's recent pregnancy announcement -- it's been a busy 2011!

The American business tycoon is America's answer to Richard Branson. Flamboyant, extravagant, outspoken, sometimes controversial, 'the Donald', as he's been dubbed in the press, is irrepressible!

While his reality show The Apprentice, which saw competitors battle for a dream job in the Trump organisation, made him a household name, Donald stirred the pot this year by announcing that he would be running for US President. He later stepped down from the race, but he hasn't ruled it out in the future, so we'll have to wait and watch!

Popster Perry has had a stellar 2011 -- she's scooped up every music award that matters, earned rave reviews for live shows, sold millions of albums and had a light brush with Hollywood in terms of a guest appearance in The Muppets and lending her voice to animated hit The Smurfs.

Now if that kind of success isn't jaw-dropping, we don't know what is!

The two comedians, who play a gay couple in the popular sitcom Modern Family, have a fanbase that is growing by the day.

Cameron Tucker and Mitchell Pritchett (played by Stonestreet and Ferguson respectively) are married to each other and have an adopted Vietnamese daughter Lily. Their lovable, laughable antics onscreen have audiences tuning in season after season and the the actors' characters were even voted one of the 5 best TV dads by TV.com!

And rounding off Walters' list is US baseball player Jeter, who has played Major League Baseball for 17 years as part of the New York Yankees.

He's had a great season this year and a 2011 list by marketing firm Nielsen ranked him the most marketable player in baseball.
