Not one, not two, not three but Amazon's first smartphone comes equipped with six cameras. Why?

What on earth is Jeff Bezos thinking?

Amazon has unveiled its first high-end 3D smartphone that shows off breathtaking technology. They call it the Amazon Fire Phone.

This is the first time Amazon has come up with a smartphone. Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, unveiled this device, with a 4.7-inch display, not-before-seen five camera capabilities, and free help service.

You can use this phone to access different offerings from Amazon. Digital content including music, films and books at Amazon can now be accessed through this mobile. Therefore, users can access their cloud storage easily with the new Amazon Fire Phone.

Interestingly, this smartphone adapts images and recognises the position of the user giving them a more immersive experience of the display. This Android based mobile comes with cutting edge technological features, such as revamped UI, innovative dynamic perspective imaging and strong integration with the Amazon ecosystem.

The Amazon Fire Phone looks stunning with an all-black look, machined aluminum design, rubber frame and display that sports Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

What's more, the Amazon Fire Phone is powered by a strong quad-core processor (with Snapdragon 800 chip) clocked at a speed of 2.2GHz. It also comes with 2GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU.

Firefly

It is one of the signature features of the Amazon Fire Phone, which scans the address from a poster, advertisement or business card, automatically understands contact information, and then saves the same in your phone's address book.

What the user needs to do is simply capture an image of the address text (wherever it is written) and leave the rest to the Firefly feature to save address it to your address book.

This is not all. There's more to the Firefly button.

Users can find the Firefly button at the left side of this smartphone, which they can use to access camera, take QR code photos for finding items directly at the Amazon website, and buy them instantly.

An X-Ray feature in the handset identifies images in a picture or video and then find all possible information.

Users can also get innumerable information about a song or a movie they are listening to or watching, as the audio feature of Firefly will collect all the possible information about the same based on the lyrics or words.

This feature can create playlists of movies and songs on the basis of users' preference (that it understands by checking content consumption of the user) and then prompts them to buy the same through Amazon.

Firefly will also help users in recognising artworks, wine labels and languages.

Firefly software development kit will be released to the developers so that they can add more functionalities to it.
