Continuing with its Asha series of smartphones, Nokia unveiled Asha 303 at the ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Touted as the first phone in the Nokia ecosystem that has touch and type QWERTY interface for inputs, Asha 303 runs on Nokia's proprietary Series 40 or S40 operating system.

Asha 303 takes its juice from a powerful 1GHz processor that promises faster 3G, Internet access and social networking experience.
The in-built Nokia browser, claims a company release, allows fast and affordable Internet access by compressing web pages by up to 90 per cent.

Apps like Zenga TV and WhatsApp come preloaded and so does popular games like Angry Birds.
Users can watch live TV using the Zenga app while WhatsApp helps friends chat on a one-on-one basis.

On the music front Asha 303 allows for access to Nokia Music Store to download songs from its library of more than four million songs. The phone also has in-built FM radio and 47 hours of music playback time.

While Asha 303 supports up to 32GB of micro SD memory the internal memory is just 64MB. The 3.2-megapixel rear camera can shoot videos at 640 x 480 resolution at 15 frames per second.
The phone weighs 99 grams.
