BlackBerry Q5

The BlackBerry Q5 will be equipped with all the BlackBerry 10 features like BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Flow UX, BBM with voice and video chat, Time Shift camera, HTML 5 support in browser, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, BlackBerry World application store and more.

Surely on the specs front, the Q5 does bear a striking resemblance to the flagship Q10, however the main differentiating factor is with respect to the build quality. The premium outlook and materials like cold-forged steel have been substituted with plastic in the white, black and red options. Additionally the keypad looks different from the one in Q10.

Considering that a budget Android phone would provide better specifications at an affordable price, it remains to be seen whether the Q5 manages to uproot certain competitors. The pricing of the device raises the question as to whether consumers will be willing to shell out Rs 25,000 for a simple looking device with just 5 MP camera and simple LCD display [no HD].
