Outlook magazine has released the results of its annual survey of the best Indian colleges 2012. We bring you the top 10 professional colleges, as per their findings.
One of India's leading magazines Outlook has announced the results of its annual survey for the best Indian colleges of 2012.
For the survey, Outlook partnered with Marketing and Development Research Associates (MDRA), an India-based marketing research and consulting organisation.
More than 1,400 colleges from nine streams, namely engineering, medicine, dentistry, social work, law, hotel management, fashion technology, architecture and mass communication were shortlisted from across the country to participate in this survey.
A detailed questionnaire was sent to these colleges which aimed to rate the rankings on five key parameters like selection process, placements, academic excellence, personality development and industry exposure and infrastructure.
The survey was conducted among students, faculty and recruiters/professionals in Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta, Lucknow, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Kota, Bhubaneswar, Patna and Ahmedabad, while field researchers visited several institutes to conduct questionnaire-based interviews among 300 senior faculty members and 337 final-year students from various streams.
The final scores and rankings were calculated by integrating the perceptual and objective scores.
