British Council India is inviting participation from young innovators for its Young Creative Entrepreneur Award 2012 in the sectors of Design for Social Impact and Digital for Creative Industries.
Who can apply
Anyone who is aged between 21 and 40 years and run their own enterprise/ organisation and either use any of the disciplines of design to achieve a social impact or use a digital tool or application for use in a creative sector can participate.

Sharmila Erom Scholarship for North-East girls
Sarhad College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune is inviting applications from Manipur and North Eastern girl students in India for the Sharmila Erom Scholarship for higher education.
As a tribute to Sharmila Erom, an activist from Manipur, who is aged 39, the scholarship will be awarded to 39 girl students to fund their higher education and other professional courses.
The entire expenses of these students covering lodging, boarding and tuition fees since passing the class 12 exam till they complete their degree courses would be borne by Sarhad along with a few other colleges in Pune.
Who can apply
Girl students of Indian origin from Manipur and North Eastern states who have passed Class 12 can apply
