5 reasons you will most definitely fail your job interview
Can an inappropriate e-mail id cost you your dream job?
If you think 'you lack experience' is a silly reason to be rejected, you are wrong.
Lack of experience is actually a strong reason for rejection and you cannot count that against anyone.
If lack of experience was the reason why you couldn't make the cut you should rejoice because there are many others who are rejected for ridiculously silly reasons and some of them are rejected despite having experience.
While you cannot avoid being rejected for a few reasons such as lack of experience and qualification required for a particular job, there are other reasons that you can work on.
Listed below are five of the silliest reasons to get rejected:
1. Being badly dressed
The first impression of a prospective candidate is usually based on how s/he presents herself/himself.
Your hair should be neat and your clothing should be professional.
Wrinkled shirts, clothing with stains, not bothering to comb your hair, and/or not polishing your shoes are some of the worst things you could do for yourself.
You are going to meet a potential employer, not a friend.
Be serious in the way you dress to an interview.

2. A ludicrous e-mail ID

Seriously?
Are these the email IDs you would provide to your potential employers to contact you?
Bad e-mail IDs are among the silliest and among the most common reasons why employers reject candidates.
Organisations definitely don't want to hire someone who expects to be contacted at iamahero@yahoo.com.
Employers look for serious candidates who have a professional e-mail address.
If you don't have a professional e-mail yet, create one with your complete name.
If it is already taken you may add an underscore, full stop, or a number at the end of your name, but using ridiculous email IDs will count negatively for you.
3. A badly written CV
You will never understand the gravity of good grammar and error-free CV until you are rejected on those grounds.
Most employers get frustrated when they see silly spelling errors, typos, and grammatical mistakes in a resume.
This is because it shows the applicant's carelessness and it is very unprofessional.
Even if you have good experience, fashioning a bad CV will work against you.
Alongside, silly fonts, long paragraphs, writing too much about yourself, and not focusing on the job will cause employers to reject you.

4. Lack of research
There are many candidates who simply attend interviews without even knowing what the job entails or which domain the company works in.
The interviewer will definitely ask you questions about the company and when you fail to answer or just give general answers, it will show that you are not serious about it and you are likely applying to every job opening that you find.
Employers don't really want to hire candidates who are not motivated to particularly work for them because such candidates lack enthusiasm and passion.

5. Confidence issues
There are people who lack confidence and there are people who have confidence in excess. Both are bad for you.
Lack of confidence shows that you doubt your own skills.
It also directly relates to lack of people skills and communication skills, which is a huge disadvantage in today's world.
At the same time, being overconfident portrays you as pompous and someone who thinks too much about themselves.
No one likes such a candidate.
Avoid being cocky and arrogant while answering questions in the interview.
Don't try asking too many questions unless you are specifically encouraged to do so.
Don't make it seem like you are the interviewer.
It is highly recommended that you make a great first impression and be polite in a prospective job interview.
But before that, tailor your CV according to the job description and research the company well.
In your interview, be positive but not overconfident.
