Watch out for this mean meachine as it hits the Indian roads by the end of this year

Polaris is present in India with a range of ATVs in its line-up. The American company showcased a range of products at last year's Auto Expo, including its high end cruiser motorcycle range. Known as Victory Motorcycles, these high-end machines are now headed to India, by the end of the year.

Polaris hasn't disclosed which models will be launched yet but we expect the entry level Victory Vegas 8-Ball cruiser to make it to our shores. This bike is priced at $12,499 (Rs 677,695 lakh) in the US market and will be brought in via the CBU route.

The Victory Vegas 8-Vall uses a V-twin engine and like typical American manufacturers, the power figure is kept a secret.

The torque from this engine is 149 Nm, which is quite a lot for a motorcycle.

The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike's motor features 4-valve overhead cams and hydraulic lifters.

The Vegas 8-Ball has a low seat (no pillion seat here) and the handlebars are pulled back.

The telescopic forks at the front and air adjustable mono-tube at the rear form the suspension of this motorcycle  which weighs 290 kgs. The company will offer a range of products over time.
