Bajaj launches Discover 125 ST at Rs 55,740 to take on Honda CB Shine 125

Bajaj Auto has launched the Discover 125 ST motorcycle in Tamil Nadu. The company has chosen to opt for a phased launch of its latest bikes, the Pulsar 200 NS and the Discover 125 ST.

This helps in addressing issues quickly and gaining customer feedback.

The Bajaj Discover ST is priced at Rs 55,740 (ex-showroom, Tamil Nadu).

Bajaj Auto has decided to keep the old Discover 125 on offer and thus both the variants will be on sale, with the normal Discover 125 priced at Rs 51,127.

At these prices, the Discover will battle with arch rival Honda's CB Shine 125.

The Bajaj Discover ST is the next genration version of the Discover, which gets a host of new features.

The most prominent and noteworthy feature is the monoshock rear suspension, which is a first in the segment. There is also a front petal disc, a new digital console and new alloy wheels.

The Bajaj Discover 125 ST is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine which has 4-valves. This engine offers 13 BHP of power and 10.8 Nm of torque.

Fuel efficiency is 65 km/l according to Bajaj.

The company expects the new Discover to boost market share and help it maintain its number two position against Honda.
