Lit Motors based in California is responsible for the development of this revolutionary car and C in C1 stands for Codename.

Apparently there is another name of the car that the company likes to call it by. C1 is also known as 'Rolling Smart Phone' and it is world's first two-wheeler that is said to be stabilised gyroscopically.

There are gyroscopes that have been placed strategically in and around this car-cum-bike and all of these devices are fully electronically controlled. These are basically present below the floor of the car in order to help the vehicle in maintaining its balance while in stationary position.

So even if C1 is in the collision course, it will always stay upright without losing its balance. The electric motor that has been fitted to the vehicle is of 40kW and goes up to a range of approximately 200 miles.
