The 2012 Auto Expo saw a lot of new bikes but what were the real showstoppers? It's time to do a quick round up to find out.

1. Honda CBR150R

The biggest surprise of the Expo was the baby CBR which was unveiled for the first time in India.

There were no rumours nor any spy pics of the CBR150R coming to India and the unveiling by Honda was a pleasant surprise to all enthusiasts.

The CBR150R will go on sale by April and will be powered by a 150cc motor producing 18 BHP of power.

It will rival the Yamaha R15 and will be priced below Rs. 1.2 lakh.

2. Yamaha R15 Limited Edition

Yamaha disappointment by not unveiling any new motorcycle at the 2012 Auto Expo.

The company has always disappointed its fans at Auto Expos by just launching a limited edition machine. This time around too they did the same.

At the 2010 Auto Expo, the white limited edition R15 was launched and at this years event it was the Version 2.0 Limited Edition which celebrates Yamaha's 50 years in GP racing!

3. Suzuki Hayabusa

Although Suzuki launched the Hayate and Swish, the real showstopper was the two Hayabusas at the Suzuki stand.

One in red colour, while the other in maroon, both the Hayabusas looked stunning and gave visitors a glimpse of what Suzuki Motorcycle is really capable of. The Hayabusa was at one time one of the fastest bikes in the world and has its name means peregrine falcon in Japanese.

Yes the peregrine falcon feeds on blackbirds and the Honda Blackbird was its sole competition at the time of introduction in 1999.

4. Mahindra Mojo

The Mojo is back, yet again.

Making an appearance at Mahindra's stall at the Expo, the long lost performance machine is yet to see a market introduction inspite of being shown almost 18 months ago.

Mahindra is working on making the Mojo reliable and trouble free and showcased the prototype. The 300cc, single cylinder motor of the Mojo produces 25 BHP of power and 24 Nm of torque.

It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and is expected to be priced around Rs 1.75 lakh.

There is no one Triumph motorcycle which I can talk about, because all of them look so stunning and unique in their own right. Triumph has launched seven bikes in India with the range starting at Rs 5.50 lakh for the retro Bonneville.
