The world's best selling 250cc bike for 20 years now is the Kawasaki Ninja 250R. It is the best entry level sports bike and now Kawasaki has unveiled another entry level sports bike, calling it the Ninja 300R.

The Ninja 300R will go on sale in the US next year and chances are, it might come to India.

The styling of the Kawasaki Ninja 300R is similar to the 2013 Ninja 250R. The bike looks very sharp and sporty.

The instrument console is now digital and the 300R is features petal disc brakes and aluminum footpegs.

The Kawasaki Ninja 300R is powered by a 296cc, twin-cylinder (parallel twin) engine. This motor produces a peak power output of 39 PS at 11000 RPM and a peak torque output of 27 Nm at 10,000 RPM.

The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and the bike has a slipper clutch too.

Kawasaki will sell the Ninja 300R at a premium of $1000 over the Ninja 250R. If the same pricing philosophy is used in India, the new Ninja 300R will surely catch the fancy of enthusiasts in our country. Let the good times roll.
