Celebrities have always been profitable for any brand ranging from a simple shampoo to appealing automobiles. The case is same with Indian two-wheeler segment too. The segment has witnessed signing of Bollywood celebrities as brand ambassadors. Starting from Anushka Sharma to superstar Salman Khan, all can be seen in the ads of Indian two-wheelers.

Here are a few celebrities who have recently joined hands with the two-wheeler companies to sell their bikes to the masses:

Anushka Sharma: TVS Motors' Scooty

This Indian two-wheeler brand has signed this Bollywood diva about one and a half month back as the brand ambassador of its Scooty range of scooterettes.

The actress is a well-known face across the nation, and this might be the reason that TVS Motors didn't wait to sign her as the face of the company's scooterette domain, especially after the fame she earned for her stunning performance in the industry over past four years.

After Soocty's advancement to electric avatars and to a stage where it is powered by more powerful engines (the one in Pep), the scooterette is being anticipated to take a head-on with rivals, Mahindra Two Wheelers and Hero MotoCorp, with her.

Deepika Padukone: Yamaha Ray

The Yamaha Ray was first spotted at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo, where it didn't lag in attracting footfalls of young women to its stalls.

Deepika Padukone, being one of the youngest and appealing faces amongst the young generation, seemed to be the best choice for the Japanese automaker's Indian domain to sign her as the brand ambassador for the ray.

The sparkling image of the diva will be used by the company to complement the sporty and stylish scooterette through her appearances in the commercials.

The Yamaha Ray is slated to be launched in September 2012.

Salman Khan: Suzuki Hayate

In the current market and economic scenario, every single automobile company is opting for aggressive marketing strategies to attract as much pool of customers as possible.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) knows this very well. At the same time the company is very well-acquainted with the brand value that comes in part and parcel with the name: Salman Khan.

The Bollywood actor has an unparalleled fan following across the nation. This is the reason why the Japanese automaker signed the actor as its maiden brand ambassador in India.

Salman's first endorsement with the company is the Suzuki Hayate. The 112.8cc bike, which was earlier revealed at the Auto Expo, is being expected to do well in the semi-urban and rural belts.

The bike has been specially designed to make it appealing amongst bike lovers between age group of 30 and 40 years.

Hrithik Roshan: Karizma ZMR

The makers (then hero Honda) of Karizma signed the Bollywood star as the brand ambassador of the product way back in 2003. Over time, the bike too underwent transition, but it's still Hrithik Roshan who endorses the bike every time it undergoes an outlook change.

It was the Suzuki Hayabusa-inspired Hero Karizma ZMR that has been the latest in the Hero stable. It was again Hrithik, who was seen endorsing the bike.

The actor has been quite appealing amongst the youngsters and since Karizma (especially ZMR) has always targeted India's youth, Hrithik always seemed to be the perfect choice for the Karizma-makers.

Indian youngsters have considered him to be exhibiting muscularity. And when it comes to Karizma ZMR, the bike has a default target of a 'definitely male' kind of thing.
